The golf coast is back in full swing
Ugu South Coast Tourism is absolutely thrilled to announce the re-opening of all 11 of our world renowned golfing estates following the decision made by the Department of Sports, Arts and Culture.
Maintaining their level of service excellence, the Department of Sports, Arts and culture and GolfRSA have doubled down on Risk mitigation strategies to ensure the safety of staff, members and visitors.
To enforce these strategies, GolfRSA have drafted the Risk mitigation programs, Trained compliance officers to conduct thorough inspections and provided each course with software that allows each course to monitor staff, members and visitors real-time. All of the 11 courses will have to submit a Confirmation of Compliance document before reopening.
Whats on offer
The South Coast is home to 11 internationally acclaimed courses, all in close proximity to one another. These 11 courses boast either 9 hole or full 18 hole courses, each providing their own unique experiences and breath-taking panoramic scenery of oceans and lucious foliage.
The array of outstanding golf course estates don’t only offer your run of the mill club-to-ball golfing experiences, but also luxury accommodation with stunning pools that emit an exotic getaway aura, as well as beauty spas built to pamper and restaurants that will satisfy every burning hunger.
Most of the South Coast country clubs offer fun alternative activities like snooker, bowling, cricket, squash, bridge and even line dancing for those who would like to spice things up a little.
Golf clubs throughout the South Coast are deeply embedded in nature conservation, and are home to many species of fauna and flora that are proudly protected. Dozens of bird species spectate players as they make their way through the trying courses. Bringing a pair of binoculars to admire them is a staple for bird lovers.
Other fauna, such as monitor lizards, monkeys, antelope (bushbuck), porcupines and dassies make these estates their home, making for an interesting environment that’ll keep you and your camera entertained.
