Shembe Church and Mdlungwana Mountain

Walk to the top of Mdlungwana Holy Mountain to see candles, coins and other signs of people worshipping there. Hear the stories about the seven-headed snake which lives in the waters under the mountain and causes storms and floods when disturbed.

The Shembe church is demarcated by white stones to highlight the significance of the holy Mdlungwana Mountain. A guided tour is recommended, to hear more interesting stories from tourist guides.
