Sugar Beach Resort is a B&B “Hidden Gem” located in the serene little village called Elysium on the South Coast of Durban KwaZulu – Natal, nestled between Ifafa Beach and Mtwalume. The resort boasts 22 sea facing ensuite wooden cabins comprising of twin, queen, king, and family rooms. Some of the family rooms have interleading doors. Sugar Beach Resort can accommodate up to 56 people sharing. 10 of our double story units are adjacent to the main building while the rest are tucked away amongst the trees. Our general facilities include a spa, games room, children’s play area, Khuluma Conference centre, Indaba Phezulu boardroom, rock swimming pool, BBQ, and picnic area as well as an onsite restaurant (pre bookings only) and caters for every pallet. Sugar Beach Resort is within walking distance to the beach. This hidden gem is perfectly situated to give you clear views of the ocean, lagoon, and forest hillsides. It’s the perfect destination to get away from the hustle and bustle of the cities and is ideal for guests requiring a wellness retreat. The endless stretches of golden beaches, virtually untouched, offer peace and tranquility. Be on the lookout for beautiful shells washed up on the sands, especially during early morning walks at low tide. Fishing from the beach and the lagoon is a popular activity. Whales and dolphins are often spotted in the winter months, not forgetting the annual Sardine Run in June & July.
