The Highland Fryer, opposite Shelly Centre in Shelly Beach, has been voted the South Coast’s Best Restaurant in 2018 in the Best of South Coast Awards, after a fire closed the restaurant at the end of 2017. The restaurant has affordable prices and is a popular choice for Sunday lunches. Despite the name and décor, do not expect a Scottish menu. The restaurant is frequented by locals and offers friendly service with food such as Eisbein, curries, fish and chips and more.
