Love every moment with a mild and wild winter seaside holiday

Wild Coast Sun offers entertainment for the whole family

Head for the sea and some winter sunshine at Wild Coast Sun close to Port Edward, where the average June and July temperature hovers around 23 degrees, with just a few days of rain.

“Our mild winter climate makes the Sun International seaside resort the ideal mid-year school holiday location, and we have a full programme of entertainment to keep kids of all ages busy,” said Wild Coast Sun General Manager Peter Tshidi.

From Friday June 16 until July 16, put the wild into winter with activities galore, from beach fun like sack races, tug of war, balloon and spoon races, treasure hunts and limbo challenges. Cliffy the Clown will be wandering around the hotel’s entertainment areas, enthralling the little ones with balloon tricks at Squawkers Cove and the Magic Company.

If you’re not swinging clubs on the world-class 18-hole golf course, horse riding, playing ten pin bowling or arcade games in the Aloha Village, or relaxing in the Mangwanani Spa with a pampering treatment – which also has a children’s menu – you can squeal with excitement as you take a tube ride at Wild Waves Water Park or manoeuvre South Africa’s first indoor Skypark.

Other activities include a cinema experience, lawn bowls, Segway tours and Breakout room, a thrilling escape room activity for groups.

Evening entertainment for the adults can be found at Chico’s, on the casino floor and in the Lagoon Bar.

The popular Drift Expo returns, offering rides shutgun with a pro at R150 per person to enjoy the thrill and speed of drifting.

“We have worked hard at making Wild Coast Sun a family-friendly paradise which has something for everyone, and our work has paid off as the Resort was recently honoured in the 14th annual Luxury Lifestyle Awards category as the ‘Best Luxury Beach Resort in South Africa’,” Tshidi said.

Once you’ve explored the Resort, you have myriad exciting activities and tourism adventures awaiting on its doorstep.

Nearby attractions include the Beaver Creek Coffee farm, where you can take a tour of the farming operations before enjoying a cup of locally-brewed estate coffee. Mac Banana is a unique shopping, entertainment and adventure destination with an animal farm, butterfly dome tours, zipline, paintball and archery – and don’t leave without trying one of their famous pancakes.

Wild Coast Sun is offering special winter rates, visit the website and look for SunScapes, which starts from R1 970 per night and children under 18 stay for free.

Ends.
