Fun at Crocworld take to the treetops with the launch of zipline obstacle course, Jikaleza Outdoor Adventures
The stunning Crocworld Conservation Centre on the KZN South Coast, with its incredible animals and activities, is the ultimate playground – and it’s set to get better! On 26 October, it’s the launch of Jikaleza Outdoor Adventures – an amazing zipline and obstacle course that gives visitors the chance to swing through the trees of this aerial adventure park.
Busani Mthiyane, the Animal Curator of Crocworld Conservation Centre who has tried the zipline adventure, said this tourism offering gives visitors yet another reason to come to this iconic spot: “Jikaleza Outdoor Adventures is one of the region’s only zipline adventure and definitely one to try. While this is run by an outside organisation, visitors will get to experience the ultimate rush of ziplining and performing aerial obstacles in the coastal forest at Crocworld, overlooking our unique wildlife and great views.”
The Jikaleza Outdoor Adventure includes 2 courses – The Kulula Course and The Impi Course – for anyone aged 7 to 100! There is a height restriction of 1.3m and a weight restriction of 120kg. The course features adrenaline-inducing ziplines and obstacle courses among the treetops for a fun and exhilarating workout in a stunning coastal setting. It’s completely safe for all users because of the cutting-edge Coudou Pro system from Italy which is compliant with European Union standards. Plans are in place to build a Junior Course which will be announced soon!

About KZN South Coast
Known as the ‘Paradise of the Zulu Kingdom, the KZN South Coast stretches 120 kilometres from Scottburgh to Port Edward and inland to Harding. Here, the spirit of adventure can be discovered among the many cultural experiences, as well as the 35 nature trails and 58 beaches, ideal for activities like river rafting, abseiling, suspension bridges, paintball, surfing, SUP, canoeing, beach horse rides, shark cage diving and free diving. Nicknamed ‘The Golf Coast’, there are 11 golf courses on the KZN South Coast ranging in difficulty, with endless hiking, mountain biking and 4×4 trails for more rugged excursions. Promoting sustainability, the KZN South Coast has a growing agri-tourism sector that offers world-class produce and hosts tours and excursions. The region boasts several permanently managed Blue Flag beaches and is home to some of the world’s top diving sites, Aliwal Shoal and Protea Banks. The originality continues with the annual Sardine Run, coined the #GreatestShoalonEarth, which is the largest biomass migration on earth and a marvel to witness. The region’s many nature reserves are inhabited by indigenous birds and wildlife, and it holds the title of ‘smallest desert on earth’, The Red Desert in Port Edward. The KZN South Coast is a fast-emerging MICE destination which has played host to several high-profile events including The Bike Fest, The Conservation Symposium, The Ocean Festival, Uvukile Gospel Festival, Ugu Jazz, Ugu International Film Festival, and the South Coast Fever MTB & Trail Run Series, The Ugu Maskandi Festival
