8 unique team-building getaways to try on the KZN South Coast

Companies looking to boost morale, improve workplace connections, and ultimately improve productivity across the board should consider a team-building travel retreat. Warm weather, beautiful scenery, and engaging outdoor activities are called for – and the KZN South Coast is the ultimate getaway!

“Team building and company getaways are an effective and welcome way for organisations to work together and forge a productive path forward,” explains Dr Vusumuzi Sibiya, CEO of South Coast Tourism and Investment Enterprise (SCTIE). “The KZN South Coast – with its great accommodation, conference venues, outdoor adventures, and Blue Flag Beaches – is fast becoming a top team-building destination. Businesses are discovering the full-service offerings of this region that meet budgets and business goals, while providing guests with a unique experience. Now’s the time to book a team-building getaway on the KZN South Coast – and we have some great places to share.”

An increasingly popular MICE (meetings, incentives, conferences, and events) destination, the KZN South Coast offers corporate retreats at its seaside hotels, countryside resorts and game lodges. While many venues do offer team-building activities as an added service, other sites will give individual event organisers freedom to co-ordinate their team-building activities using on-site facilities.

1. Wild 5 Adventures

For an adrenaline-induced, outdoor experience, companies should consider booking at Wild 5 Adventures in Oribi Gorge. Wild 5 Adventures has Dynamic Team Developers who will customise a programme that delivers the required results for your organisation. The team is mobile, so they can host team-building events at any KZN South Coast venue of choice, but the on-site adventures at Oribi Gorge are fantastic. There’s the world’s highest gorge swing, quad biking, abseiling, zip-line, paintball and more! The team offers Silly Olympics, Mild2Wild5, and The Ultimate Challenge, tailoring all the activities to the team size and preferences.
