Why build snowmen when you can build sandcastles? Swop your winter woollies for your shorts and flip-flops and head to the KZN South Coast. It’s one off South Africa’s top domestic tourism destinations with year-round sunshine and an average winter temperature between 16 and 25 degrees Celsius.
Even the Indian Ocean, which embraces the coastline, has a pleasant, warm temperature, which is a big draw card year-round. But being a coastal destination, weather is changeable, so apart from swim wear, sunglasses and sunscreen (essential), pack a shawl and a jersey/jacket – chances are you won’t need it, but just in case.
Due to the sunny weather, it’s hard to say when the usual four seasons start, it’s almost like being stuck in a balmy weather-warp which fluctuates between spring and summer!
