KwaXolo

A range of caves at the site of KwaXolo showcases San paintings that are more than 100 000 years old, telling the story of a thriving community years before the San inhabited the desert. The KwaXolo area can be accessed on a Great Drive Out, on a mainly tarred road. Once in the area, dirt roads allow for further exploration into the scenic and rural hinterland. A project is currently underway to provide greater accessibility to the caves via a walkway.
